Saturday May 26 2007
- Arrived in Mansfield in time for the Street Festival.
- All the CTS Haulers were lined up four wide on Main St.
- There were some drivers on hand for autographs as well.
- The haulers then had a parade back to the track.
- Hope the rain holds off for the weekend.
- Got to the track on friday and saw practice.
- Ted was 8th quick in the first practice.
- Second practice saw a sprinkle of rain and then a mild downpour.
- Second practice ended 9 min. early and Ted wound up 18th quick.
- Qualifying later that day would be delayed because of rain.
- Ted would end up qualifying 21st for the race on saturday.

- On to raceday.
- The race would start with the threat of rain looming.
- Ted would start 21st and when the green flag flew he was on his way to the front.
- He made it to 19th in 2 laps.
- He would make it to 17th in just a few more laps.
- Then while passing for the 16th spot, Ted spun in the middle of turns 1 and 2.
- No caution for that but when some trucks behind him spun the yellow came out.
- When Ted stopped spinning I noticed something come out from the bottom of the truck. It looked from a distance to possibly be a spring rubber.
- Ted would restart in 33rd.
- It was raining when they restarted and then the 1st rain delay of the day.
- Two hours later they tried it again.
- They didn't race long and the skies opened up again.
- Another 2 hour delay.
- Back to racing and some had pitted before the green.
- Ted does not pit and would restart 16th.
- He would then continue moving forward and picked off a truck every lap or so.
- On lap 47 he was up to 11th.
- Then a caution for a wreck in turn 4.
- More pit and Ted stays out still.
- He would restart in 5th place.
- Ted makes it to 3rd and then another caution.
- Restart on lap 88.
- He would get to 2nd a few laps in and then go for the lead but when he makes his move, another caution.
- Then the rain comes for the 3rd time.
- This time before they get going Ted would pit on lap 114.
- Ted would restart 20th and before the next quick caution he would e 18th.
- On the restart Ted was drivin' it like he stole it!
- During this charge he and Gaughan got tangled.
- On the next caution Brendon would drive up and pay Ted a visit.
- He bumped Ted on the frontstretch, then Ted "Took him for a ride."
- Restart and Ted is 16th.
- A wreck in front of Ted again and this time he hits the pile.
- There is now slight damage to Ted's right front bumper.
- Restart and Ted is now 14th.
- Five laps later he is 12th and just behind Skinner.
- Another caution as #88 Crafton hits the wall in turn 4.
- Restart and Ted is now 11th.
- Another caution as Honaday and Bodine spin.
- Now we hear Ted has a slight problem handling.
- Restart and Ted is 10th.
- Another caution as Starr brushes the wall and then just stops.
- Restart and Ted is 8th!
- There would be 2 more cautions and Ted would start 7th with 6 laps to go.
- Ted made a deal with Hornaday who was driving perhaps a tad bit aggresive to let him pass up high so Ted wouldn't get freight trained on the restart.
- That put Ted 8th, then Fike ran out of gas and Ted was 7th again.
- Then on the last turn Kvapil passes Ted.
- Ted finishes 8th on the day.
- Dennis Setzer wins the race while NOT pitting even once!?
- I got to wonder how he did it when people that pitted 30 laps into the race ran out.
- It was a good day for Team ASE.
- Ted was the fastest out there all day until the handling issue.
- He said it felt like something broke or fell off.
- Ted is now 4th in points but lost a few to the leader and is now -193 pts. back.
- On to Dover where Ted has won before. Perhaps he can get his first on the year!
- Also, we got to see Debi at the race, it had been a long time since we last saw her.
Magic Man drives Ted's hauler and is a great spotter.
