Atlanta Motor Speedway
- This is the 2nd race in Atlanta this year.
- Ted has finishes of 4-6-8-14-24 with an 8th place finish this spring at Atlanta.
- We heard news this week that Ted lost his crew chief Rick Gay for the rest of the year.
- We also hear that Ted and Germain Racing will part ways at the end of the year as well.
- There seems to be a deal for Ted in the works for next year, so we will all have to stay tuned.
- On to this week's race.
- Ted would be 7th quick in the first practice and 9th quick in the final practice.
- He would then go on to qualify 11th for the race.
- It would be nice to get a win before the end of the year.
- Green flag at 1:21!
- Lap 3 the #00 Josh Wise gets sideways in front of Ted.
- Lap 5 and Ted is still where he started in 11th place.
- Lap 8 and now Ted is up to 9th.
- Lap 15 and Ted drops a position back to 10th.
- Lap 23 and Ted is now 11th.
- Lap 30 and there are 25 trucks on the lead lap.
- Also a competition cauiton comes out and Ted is 11th on lap 30.
- Ted pits and gets right sides and fuel only.
- Restart on lap 37 and Ted is 5th.
- Lap 38 and Ted is 4th.
- Lap 40 and Ted is back to 5th.
- Caution #2 for a multi truck wreck.
- The #00 gets loose and takes the #75 and #40 with him.
- Restart on lap 54 and Ted is still 5th.
- Lap 56 and Ted is 6th.
- Lap 58 and Ted is 8th.
- Lap 67 and Ted is now 11th.
- Lap 71 and Ted is 13th.
- This fall back could be from just taking 2 tires earlier.
- Lap 74 and now 16th.
- Caution #3 for debris. with 50 to go and Ted was 16th.
- All should make it from here.
- Ted pits for 4 tires and fuel.
- Restart with 46 to go and Ted is 15th.
- 44 to go and Ted is 12th.
- 26 to go and Ted is 14th.
- Caution #4 as #60 Sprague hits the wall with help from Ted.
- Ted pits for 4 tires and a splash of fuel.
- Restart with 20 to go and Ted is 15th.
- Ted is in a total mess of trucks right now with 16 to go.
- 15 to go and Ted is 15th.
- 14 to go and Ted is 14th.
- Caution with 12 to go for possible oil on the track.
- Restart with 8 to go and Ted is 14th.
- 3 to go and Ted is 10th.
- The race ends and Ted would finish 9th.
- Ted is still 7th in points and now -793 back.
- Another top-10 making it 14 on the year.
- On to Texas and another 1.5 mile track.
