Talladega Superspeedway, Talladega, Alabama
- Back to Dega for the second time.
- Last year Ted finished 3rd and led 5 laps.
- This year during the 1st practice Ted was 7th quick.
- Then in final practice he was 20th quick.
- Both practice times were about the same speed.
- Then Ted and Team ASE would go on to qualify 7th for the race.
- My dvd-r player did not tape the race.
- Will tape the replay and then do a report.
- Avoided the news and watching race now....
- Green flag!
- Ted crosses the line 12th on the first lap.
- Lap 2 and the drivers are calming down and Ted is now 5th.
- Five laps in and the top 7 are nose to tail with Ted still 5th.
- Caution #1 for a wreck as Bliss blows a tire and wrecks Jason White, both hit the wall hard.
- Restart on lap 12 and Ted is still 5th.
- 17 laps in and the top 7 are out front single file again with Ted still 5th.
- Caution #2 and most pit.
- Ted does pit.
- Restart on lap 20 of 94 and Ted is 16th.
- Ted is in the middle lane of 3-wide racing on lap 21.
- Lap 22 and Ted is 11th.
- Lap 24 and Ted is on the outside of 3-wide racing and in 21st.
- Lap 26 and now 2-wide and Ted is near the back on the low side.
- Lap 28 and 18th in the middle of 3-wide again.
- Lap 29 and on the outside of 3-wide and getting a push from Kvapil in 21st.
- Lap 35 and Ted is 2nd by inches to Bodine.
- Ted took the outside line to the front with help from behind from Mike Wallace.
- Lap 38 Ted falls back to 7th but leading the outside lane still.
- Lap 40 and a 3rd line is forming to the right of Ted.
- A lap later and the outside line disapates.
- Lap 45 and Ted is 10th and no longer leading the outside lane.
- Lap 47 and Ted passes on the outside and retakes the lead of the outside lane in 9th.
- Lap 48 and 7th and headed to the front.
- Lap 50 and Ted is not 4th and still leading the outside lane.
- Lap 53 and Ted got caught outside and got shuffled back to 11th.
- Caution #3 for a 3 truck wreck (Bell, Villenouve and Silas)
- Ted may of had a tire going down because we don't see him anywhere during the wreck.
- My dvd-r got flaky and we jump to lap 63 and Ted is 11th.
- Will look later to see if I can find out what happened before the caution.
- Ted is 11th on lap 63.
- 30 to go and Ted is 8th in the bottom lane and 15 overall.
- Caution #4 for debris.
- Restart with 25 to go and Ted is 10th.
- Ted gets blocked and falls way back.
- 22 to go and Ted is 15th in the outside lane.
- Caution #5 for a major wreck.
- Benson spins out Sprague who should have pitted with a tire issue.
- Then the bottleneck!
- Ted gets major damage to his hood.
- Ted slowed down best he could but a truck swerved right in front of him.
- Why Sprague didn't pit when he knew he had a problem is beyond me.
- He had a tire rub for many laps but he was leading so stay out and ruin everyone elses day.
- Ted goes behind the wall and probably won't come back.
- Restart with 15 to go and Ted is 24th and in the garage.
- Caution #6 for another wreck just after the restart.
- Restart with 12 to go and Todd is 2nd.
- 11 to go and Todd takes the lead.
- 7 to go and Todd still leading.
- 6 to go and Ted is 25th and still in the garage.
- Skinner gets black flagged FINALLY for a loose hood.
- It was flapping for a few laps.
- Caution #7 just in time to save Skinner.
- What a joke it took NASCAR that long to black flag him!
- #03 Mike Wallace spins with help but does not hit anything.
- Restart with 3 to go and Todd out front.
- Todd wins.
- What a bad luck race.
- Ted had a good truck and got caught up in someones mess.
- Glad to see Todd win!
- Ted finishes 25th.
- Ted is now 7th in points and -733 back.
- On to Martinsville.
