Just three races to go and the Mopar crew headed off to Texas for another race under the lights. Ted would be 5th quick in the first practice and then 14th quick in the final session. He would then go on to qualify 11th in a very tight qualifying session.

Once again there is an early mishap and Caution #1 on lap 2 would be for #07 Jack Baily as he skids into the wall. Before the caution Ted would gain a few spots and restart the race in 9th spot.

As the laps tick away #46 Dennis Setzer falls backwards and is reporting a ill handling truck. Ted would hold his ground in 9th for awhile and then fall back a couple of spots before the next caution.

Caution #2 comes out on lap 39 for debris on the racetrack just before Dennis is about to get lapped. Most of the field pits. Everyone seems to be fighting a tight handling truck. Ted would restart the race in 12th on lap 44.

During this run Ted once again would hold a steady position around 12th. Then on lap 61 Caution #3 would come out as #63 Justin Allgaier spins down the frontstretch grass. Most of the leaders pit again and some would take 2 tires and some would stay out. Ted takes four and would restart the race in 20th on lap 67.

By lap 73 Ted would already be in 16th spot. Ted would stay there until Caution #4 comes out as #47 Aric Almirola hits the wall. Most would pit again this time. Ted would pit and line up 17th for the restart and Dennis Setzer would somehow be in 8th.

Dennis may of taken two tires or just fuel, but whatever it was it wasn't working as he started to fall back to Ted and the rest of the field. By lap 95 Ted is about to overtake Dennis when Caution #5 comes out as #06 Regan Smith says hello to the wall. Ted would stay out as does most of the field. Dennis would however pit.

The race restarts once again with just 46 to go. Ted is in 14th, Dennis is in 24th. With 33 laps to go Ted would fall a few spots to 16th. With 21 to go Ted would still be in 16th with Dennis now in 22nd. The race would then have it's final caution.

Caution #6 would come out with 12 to go as #29 Brad Keselowski blows a motor. Ted would stay out and Dennis would pit again for tires.

The race would restart with 10 to go and Ted would be 16th and Dennis would be 21st out of 24 trucks still on the lead lap. With 5 laps to go Ted is in 13th and Dennis is in 17th. When the checkered flag comes out, Ted would be 14th and Dennis would be 18th.

It was a hard fought race for the Mopar gang. They fought an ill handling truck all night long. They stuck it out and salvaged a decent finish. In the end they would actually gain valuable points on Dennis who himself could not get a handle on the track conditions. #30 Todd Bodine would win his 3rd race of the year.

On to Phoenix for the next to last race of the year. Ted would have a 63 point lead on Dennis Setzer. Ted has raced a truck in Phoenix six times with two of them for Jack Roush.
