-3rd race of the season and yet another night race.
-Ted has finishes of 4-6-8-14-24 at Atlanta.
-There was only one practice due to weather and Ted was 3rd quick.
-He would then go on to qualify 25th for the race.
-All teams get an extra set of tires this week.
-There will also be a competition caution around lap 25.
-Trouble on the start right in front of Ted.
-NO CAUTION until #4 Chase Miller cuts a tire.
-Ted had to smoke the tires braking to avoid it!
-Restart on lap 6 and Ted is 18th.
-Ted would slowly fall back and on lap 23 he was 23rd.
-Perhaps he slightly flat spotted his tires avoiding the wreck at the start.
-Lap 25 competition caution comes out and Ted is 24th.
-All pit and Ted will restart 21st on lap 32.
-Johnny Benson comes to pit row with his engine on fire!
-With 94 to go Ted is 16th.
-85 to go and Ted is 15th and 13 seconds back of the leader Todd Bodine.
-Caution #3 with 74 to go as #59 Cook blows a tire.
-Ted pits and will restart 17th with 65 to go.
-Todd is still at the point at the halfway mark.
-Caution #4 as #10 Starr pushes #08 McCumbee into the wall after just two laps.
-Restart with 60 to go and Ted is 16th.
-Caution #5 for a multi-truck wreck in front of Ted with 56 to go.
-Restart with 50 to go and Ted is 12th.
-47 to go and Ted is 10th!
-Caution #6 as #15 Lester hits the wall after #40 Bliss broke and hit him.
-Final pit stops???
-This is one of the worst coverages of a race I've seen if you are a Ted fan.
-We hear absolutely nothing on him.
-Restart with 34 to go and Ted is 15th.
-31 to go and Ted makes up to 10th!
-Caution #7 as #47 Kinser wrecks.
-Restart with 22 to go and Ted is 10th still.
-Caution #8 comes as #15 Lester hits the wall again with a cut tire.
-Restart with 16 to go and Ted is 9th.
-Ted makes it to 8th after turn 2.
-Now he's 7th with 14 to go.
-Caution #9 as #00 Allmendinger spins out.
-Just before the caution Mikey mentions Ted.
-It is the first we hear of him today.
-9 cautions is a new Atlanta record.
-Single file restart with just 8 to go and Ted is 7th and Todd is 3rd.
-Bottle neck on the restart.
-Ted has a chance to get to 5th but the racing is crazy and he falls back in line.
-The racing was hard fought for positions 5 through 8.
-Ted tried to get by but as one door opened for him another closed.
-Ted would finish 8th.
-Todd finishes 2nd.
-My comment: I can't believe what people will do for a win!
-This is the second time this year a truck lifts up the back end of the leader.
-Ted is now 5th in the points (-110 back).
-Hope we get to hear from Ted because they really never talked about him.
-On to Martinsville in 2 weeks.
