IROC Race #2

Ted raced right to the 2nd spot and rode the bumper of the leader Mark Martin for a few laps. He would stay there until Martin Truex hits the wall on lap 5.
The race restarts and Ted would stay in 2nd place until lap 15 when Ryan Newman went by him and brought Matt Kenseth along. Ted would then start to fall back even further and in just 2 and a half laps later he was in 9th.
The racing was fast and furious and many times the racers went three wide and the positions would shuffle around every lap. By lap 26 Ted is now 10th. He would report that the tires were going away. The same fate hits the leader Mark Martin and by lap 31 he would fall back to 6th.
The racing would continue to be furious and by lap 47 Tony Stewart is the leader and ALL pit for tires and fuel. The race resumes in the same order as they pitted with a double file restart and a 20 lap shoot-out.
The race restarts and a caution comes right away as Sam Hornish would miss a shift and get spun by Max Papis. Hornish exits his car as there was something wrong with his car. Ted is now 8th on the restart.
On this restart Ted is involved in some heavy 3 wide racing. Ted would not fare well and falls back to 11th with ten laps to go. With 9 laps to go Kinser goes on his roof again like he did in the 1st race bringing out a caution.
Restart with 8 to go and Ted is 8th. Ted would lose one more spot and finish the race in 9th place.
Ted betters his spot from the 1st IROC race by one spot.
It will be no easy feat for him to capture the crown.
Off to Daytona for the next race.
This race will be on the Daytona road course.
