- Ted has raced at Charlotte 5 times in the truck series.
- He has 4 Top-5's with one of them being a win.
- In practice Ted was 17th quick.
- He would then go on to qualify the Team ASE / Harris Trucking Toyota 23rd for the race.
- This will be a night race and I will be doing live updates during the commercials.
- I for one am sick of hearing about a certain driver!
- I won't mention what I just heard and saw during driver intro.
- Can't wait for the green flag.
- Ted lines up right behind Todd Bodine on the inside.
- Ted has an in-car camera.
- Green flag at 8:50!
- 5 laps in and Ted is still 23rd.
- Caution #1 for a wreck on lap 8 (#16 and #71).
- There is a lot of oil on the track.
- I am pretty sure that Ted pitted.
- Ted wasn't gaining any spots so it is a great time to make adjustments and get fuel.
- Restart on lap 17 and Ted is 26th.
- Caution #2 as #9 Marks blows a tire.
- Ted again wasn't making any moves.
- We see a piece of Marks truck hit Ted's grill from the in-car camera.
- The leaders pit and Ted stays out.
- This is a long caution and now Ted is leading the field.
- Restart on lap 29 and Ted is 1st.
- Ted loses the lead before the lap is done.
- Ted is still dropping back.
- Lap 35 and Ted is back to the 13th spot.
- The Speed ticker is wacked again.
- We hear Ted's truck is wicked loose even after the big adjustment earlier.
- Lap 49 and Ted is now 23rd.
- 78 to go now and Ted is still 23rd and very close to being lapped.
- 71 to go and Ted is a lap down.
- Ted seems to have a 23rd place truck right now.
- Another big adjustment may be in store for the next pit stop.
- Half way and Ted is 2nd truck a lap down.
- Ted does a green flag pit and is now 31st and 2 laps down with 61 to go.

- 12 to go and Ted is 23rd.
- Caution #6 for debris with 11 to go.

- There is wild racing up front!
- Sure as could be Caution #7 comes.
- Hornaday gets wrecked by Bodine after he cut in front of Todd after a pass.
- By the way, Benson gets black flagged for jumping the restart.
- Green-White-Checkered finish and Ted is 22nd.
- Matt Crafton gets his 1st win in the truck series.
- Ted finished the race in 22nd.
- Ted just never seemed to have a truck that could pass.
- He was way loose and we will have to see if there were any other issues.
- The wreck tonight did not help but he wasn't showing signs of having a truck that could of done much better than where he finished.
- Let's look at it this way.
- Ted has finishes this year of 6th-7th-10th-15th-22nd-28th.
- The 28th at Daytona should of been much better if not for the wreck.
- The 22nd this week was a minor slip up.
- I see one small step back and two giant leaps forward coming!
- Keep on diggin guys, all of you are doing great.
- On to Mansfield.
- We will be at the race so no live updates next week.
UPDATE from DV on the race from the message board:
"Embarrassing can describe how we all felt Friday night. The truck just wouldn't run fast. It had no power. We were able to get 5 bonus points for leading due to good pit stategy but it was hard to watch. Handling wasn't the issue. Power was. Ted said after the race it was terrible. Milt did a great job keeping us from getting run over. Ted could run it deep into the turns but it had no straight away power at all. It was like we were on 7 cylinders. Maybe carberator or too much drag/down force. Ted and some members are going to the dyno tomorrow at Bill Davis to see what was the issue. We apologize for the poor showing and will get the answer soon. The pit stops were great, we just couldn't go fast enough. TRD has always given us strong engines and it is a proven truck we had, 5th at Vegas and fast at St Louis before blowing up, so there are answers we must get. I will keep you all updated. Thanks for all your support."
Quote from Ted after the race:
“We need to really investigate everything when we get this truck back to the shop,” Musgrave said. “We really got killed off the corners and down the straightaways tonight for some reason. I was as strong as anyone in the corners but we would come off and go down the straightaways and it was very apparent that I was lacking something. Not sure what it is but we cannot rule anything out at this point – so we need to check everything that it could possibly be so we don’t have this issue again.”
“This was really disappointing tonight,” Musgrave stated. “But this Team ASE/Harris Trucking crew will go back to the shop and find out what was wrong I am sure of that. We will all learn from this and come back next week and get after it.”
