There was a threat of rain but it would hold off for the race. Also Goodyear brought a new tire for the race.
Two trucks went to the back at the start and Ted actually started 24th for the race. By lap 4 Ted moved up to 22nd. Then by lap 8 he was 21st. Now Ted and Jack Sprague get into a hard fought battle for position and Ted falls back a few spots right before Caution #1.
Ted pits for tires and fuel and would restart back in 26th on lap 23. By lap 31 he is now 24th. By lap 37 he is 22nd. On lap 44 he is 19th. On lap 57 he is 18th. Then Caution #2 comes for debris.
Ted would pit once again and restart in 17th spot on lap 68. By lap 79 Ted is 15th. By lap 87 he was 14th. On lap 91 he was now 13th. Caution #3 comes now for a spin.
Ted pits again and would restart on lap 105 in 12th position. Now with 81 laps to go Ted starts to fall backwards. He loses many spots and with 60 to go he was 18th. It would get worse just five laps later as Ted now goes a lap down to race leader Mark Martin. At this time he is still 18th and the lucky dog.
Ted would fall back to 19th as Kyle Busch moves his Chevy past Ted and becomes the lucky dog. It was at this point that my psychic abilities came out. Just like I called Caution #4 came as Like I called #02 Kelly Sutton spins her chevy.
The race would restart with 37 to go with Ted in 19th the first truck one lap down. Too bad THe #02 doesn't drive a Toyota as the race would now run green to the finish.
Ted stayed the first truck one lap down till the end of the race and did gain one more spot to finish the race 18th.
Ted had a bad set of tires on the long green-flag run and that got him a lap down. Other than that he had a good truck for the race.
Ted is still second in points to Todd now 76 points back.
