The race started and a caution comes right away for debris. They would restart the race on lap 7 and Ted had fallen back a few spots to 16th. He regains a spot and holds on to 15th for 30 laps.
Caution #2 comes as the #02 spins. Ted pits for some much needed adjustments. He restarts on lap 40 in 15th. On lap 54 he makes it to 14th. Then on lap 65 he loses a couple of spots and is now 16th.
Caution #3 comes as the #18 spins. Restart on lap 82 and Ted is 21st after pitting once again. Caution #4 comes right away for another spin and the race restarts now on lap 87 and Ted is 18th.
Caution #5 for a flat tire. Restart on lap 95. Ted is now 14th. Caution #6 for a wreck in turn one slows the race down once again. Restart on lap 99 and Ted is 12th. Now with 98 to go Ted is 11th. With 89 to go he is 8th. Two laps later Ted moves up to 7th!
Caution #7 comes for a slow truck on the track. Ted pits and restarts the race in 13th with 82 laps to go. Caution #8 comes right away for a spin and Ted restarts now in 12th with 78 to go.
Here is where it gets ugly. Ted would start to lose position after position. He looks like he is going to wreck himself in the turns. He would report that whatever adjustments they made on the last pit stop turned the truck into the most evil thing he had ever driven. With 63 to go he was all the way back to 25th.
With 48 to go it gets worse as Ted now gets lapped. Ted does gain a spot and is 24th with 40 to go. Then before Ted causes his own caution, Todd gets caught up in a spin in turn two.
Ted comes into the pits for a much needed adjustment. Then to add insult to injury he gets caught speeding on pit row and would have to go to the end of the longest line. With 25 to go Ted is now 26th. Ted would somehow gain two spots and finish the race in 24th.
Not a good night for the Germain teams as Todd finished 20th.
Ted is now 4th in points.
Not much else to say about this one but let's put it behind.
