Due to five trucks heading to the back, Ted actually started 19th for this race. On lap 5 Ted moved up to 18th. By lap 10 he was 17th. Ted reports that he is loose and starts to fall back. The first caution of the day comes on lap 22 and Ted is 20th. All would pit and Ted comes out 15th for the restart on lap 26.
On lap 30 Ted is 14th. On lap 32 he was 13th. Then Caution #2. Ted would restart in 12th on lap 38. By lap 42 he worked himself up to 10th! A few more laps later and he was 9th.
Caution #3 on lap 49 as #75 hits the wall. Ted would pit with the leaders at this time. It would be a long pit stop and he restarted on lap 55 in 18th.
Caution #4 comes as #02 spins. The race restarts with Ted now in 17th on lap 61 On lap 68 Ted is 16th. On lap 71 he is 15th. By lap 80 he was 13th. Just a lap later and he was 12th!
Caution #5 comes on lap 100 as #13 Kerry Earnhardt hits the wall. Ted pits and then comes back in to top off before the restart on lap 105.
Caution #6 is for #98 Erin Crocker getting a flat. Ted pits again to top off one last time. He would restart in 12th again with 46 laps to go. Two laps later he is 11th, Two more laps later and he is 10th. One lap after that he is 9th!
Caution #7 comes and the race would restart single file with Ted in 10th with just 7 laps to go.
One last caution as #60 Jack Sprague hits the wall. There would be a green-white-checkered finish. Ted resarts in 9th and would move up two more spots before they were done to finish in 7th!
Not a bad finish.
Ted is now 115 points back of Todd, still 2nd in points.
On to Michigan!
