On the start Ted would make it up to 3rd by the end of lap 1. Then he started to fall back a bit. Lap 2 he was 5th. Lap 5 he was 7th. Lap 8 he was 9th. Lap 10 he was 10th. He looks real loose.
Meanwhile #5 Mike Skinner is way out front once again. So much for sharing the info this year.
On lap 17 Ted was still going backwards and is now 11th. Three laps later he would gain a couple of spots and hold the 9th position for awhile.
By the time Caution #1 comes out for a spin Ted was 8th. He would pit and come out 6th! Ted then started to fall back again. lap 38 he was 7th. Lap 40 he was 11th.
Caution #2 comes as #13 Kerry Earnhardt gets "Porked" by #46 Craig Kinser. On the restart Ted is still 11th. Three laps later he is 14th! On lap 57 he is 19th. On lap 68 he is 21st!
Caution #3 comes and he is 22nd. Restart on lap 85 and Ted is 16th. Two more cautions later and Ted restarts on lap 94 in 17th. Then on lap 100 he was 19th.
A red flag now comes out as #02 Kelly Sutton hits the wall hard. Restart on lap 112 and Ted is 25th. On lap 123 he is still 25th now over 13 seconds back.
There would be two more cautions before the race ended with Ted doing his best and scraping out a 22nd finish.
