Built Ford Tough 225
	Built Ford Tough 225 Kentucky Speedway Sparta, Kentucky July 19, 2008 Ted and his Team ASE/ Harris Trucking Toyota crew head into Kentucky this week. This race marks the start of the second half of the season. At this track Ted has finishes of ( 2nd-3rd-5th-6th-7th-9th-24th ). This year in the first practice Ted was 7th quick with a speed of 168.929 mph. In final practice he was 11th quick with a speed of 170.202 mph. Qualifying was held prior to the race. Ted will start the race in 15th and that's only 10 spots away from a top-5 finish. Green flag at 7:19 pm. Caution #1 on lap 4 for a spin by #13 Howard. #2 Sprague is in the pits with an engine problem. Restart on lap 8 and Ted is 11th. We can see that Ted is wearing his white helmet tonight. Lap 11 and Ted is now up to 10th. Caution #2 as #07 Lawler spins and then a few others follow do behind him. Restart on lap 16 and Ted is 12th. Caution #3 as #91 Stout blows a motor. Good news so far is that Ted isn't losing ground during the run. I think Ted did pit and he may have gotten a pit road penalty as we see him dropping back. Restart on lap 25 and he is 34th. Turns out he left the pits with equipment and was sent to the back of the longest line. Lap 30 and Ted is already up to the 24th spot. Lap 33 and he is 23rd. Lap 36 and now up to 21st. Lap 39 and now 20th. Lap 46 and still 20th and now over 20 seconds back of the leader. Lap 50 and the leaders who did not pit under the last caution are pitting under the green. Lap 52 and #03 Wallace wrecks and brings out Caution #4. Only one leader pitted and that was the leader #51 who is now a lap down. Ted pits and comes out in the 10th spot. The race is now Red Flagged on lap 57. The #51 gets the lucky dog. Restart on lap 60 and Ted is 10th. Lap 63 and Ted is up to the 8th spot. It takes about 3 laps for the SPEEDtv ticker to make a cycle. We got some good coverage of Ted racing with #22 Annett. We also heard about the test that Ted did at Darlington. Ted feels that they can take what they learned and use it at every track the rest of the way. Caution #5 for debris near the half way point. Restart on lap 78 and Ted is 8th. #33 Hornaday slows and heads to the pits. Lap 83 and Ted is now 7th. Lap 87 and Ted loses a spot to #11 Starr. Lap 97 of 150 and Ted is 8th and 11 seconds back of the leader #23 Benson. Lap 100 and Ted is still right behind the #22 and still in 8th. Ted also qualified right behind the #22. 45 to go and Ted is 8th and 15 seconds back. Caution #6 for debris with 37 laps to go. All should pit for the last time. Ted pits and I think he got 4 tires. Restart with 32 to go and Ted is 13th. Caution #7 and #8 McCuumbee and #9 Marks wreck. This all started from Ted bumping the #51 in turn 3 and the #51 went up and hit the #8. Looked like Ted had a good run and the #51 let off a tick too soon going into the corner. Long caution. Restart with 22 to go and Ted is 11th. Caution #8 for a big wreck involving #6 Braun #10 Gaughan and #30 Bodine. Ted sneaks by on the top side. Restart with 19 to go and Ted is still 11th somehow? All three trucks were ahead of him. Ted gains a spot and is now 10th with 17 to go. 10 to go and Ted is 9th. Ted is in a gaggle of trucks. 6 to go and Ted is now back to 12th somehow. I don't know how this happened other than ted was stuck behind the #51 and the #60 Cook going side by side, then other trucks caught up to him and made it a mess. The race would end and Ted would finish 13th. I just don't get it sometimes. It is hard when you can not see what actually happened. A slightly disappointing finish to what was shaping out to be a sure top-10. The racing was just real furious at the end and I guess at least the truck is in one piece. We will have to see what Ted says after the race. A bright side note to take away this week is that after the last 2 races Ted has only lost 37 points in the standings. On to O.R.P. next week. Ted has a mixed bag of finishes there. Let's hope they can qualify up front and stay there. Don't make me bring out the "Cow Bell" !
